Reserved Capacity, or Purchased Hours
The Retainer
You reserve a set number of hours each month, and we hold that capacity for your household. It is where most of our households eventually settle, and it is what makes the work feel as though it has disappeared.

The Time Block
You purchase a block of hours and draw them down as you need them. No monthly commitment and no reserved capacity, which makes it the right shape when the need is real but not yet routine.

The Real Difference
A time block buys you our hands. A retainer buys you our attention.
With a block, you tell us what you need and we do it well. With a retainer, we are holding your household in mind between the visits: watching the calendar, catching the thing before it becomes the problem, making the small decision without having to ask you first.
That is not something we withhold from block clients. It is simply what becomes possible once the time is reserved and the context is continuous.
Most households arrive through one door and move to the other. There is no wrong one.
The Plain Mechanics
Everything Is Documented
Hours, visits, and purchases are recorded and shared with you. Whichever way you work with us, you always know what was done, when, and by whom.
You Pay Providers Directly
We do not mark up vendor work. Your contractors and providers bill you at their price. We are paid for our time and our judgment, never for standing between you and an invoice.
Retainers Hold the Calendar
Retainer households hold reserved places in our week. Block work is scheduled around them, which in a full season can mean waiting. We will always tell you plainly where our availability stands.
Onboarding Happens Once
Preferences, providers, codes, and routines go into your household file at the start. It carries over if you move from a block to a retainer, so nothing is ever built twice.
Moving Between the Two
Blocks convert to retainers whenever you are ready, and retainers can step down to blocks in a quiet season. Neither change costs you anything but a conversation.

Asked and Answered
Which one should we start with?
If the need is ongoing and you already know it, the retainer will serve you better and cost less per hour. If the need is a season, a project, or a question you are still asking, start with a block. We will tell you honestly which one we think fits, including when the honest answer is the smaller one.
Can we begin with a block and move to a retainer later?
Yes, and many households do exactly that. Your household file carries over intact, so nothing has to be rebuilt. We will usually be the ones to raise it, once the pattern of your requests starts looking like a rhythm rather than a list.
What happens to hours we do not use?
Block hours are available for six months from the date of purchase. Retainer hours are reserved monthly rather than banked, because what you are holding is a place on our calendar rather than a balance. In a genuinely quiet month, tell us, and we will put the time to good use somewhere in your home.
Is there a minimum?
There is a practical one rather than a policy one. Below a certain amount of time we cannot learn a household well enough to be useful, and we would rather say so than take the work. We will be direct about it in the exploratory chat.
How are the rates different?
Reserved time is priced below unreserved time. Reserving it is what allows us to plan a week around your household instead of fitting you into one, and the pricing reflects that. Larger commitments always carry the better rate. The full guide is shared in conversation.
What if our needs change halfway through?
Retainer tiers adjust up or down with thirty days' notice, and blocks can be refilled at any size. Households are not static, and neither is the arrangement. Nothing here is designed to trap you in a shape you have outgrown.
