We are based in Wayzata, Minnesota, and have looked after households here since 2023. Most families work with us on a standing monthly basis. New households begin with a complimentary walk-through and a written plan, delivered the same day.

The Walk
Every household starts the same way. We come to the house, walk it with you, and listen. About ninety minutes. By the end of the day you have a written plan for your home: what is creating drag, what we would take on first, and what a standing arrangement would look like. There is no charge for the visit or the plan, and no obligation attached to either.
We walk the house
Every room, the garage, the mechanicals, the outbuildings if there are any. We ask about the vendors you have and the ones you wish you had.
You get a plan the same day
In writing. What we noticed, what we recommend, and the shape of the support that fits, from a few standing visits a month to a team in the house every week.
You decide
Some families begin that week. Some keep the plan in a drawer for the season that needs it. Either way, it is yours.

What People Ask Us
Is estate management the same as household management?
Close cousins. Household management is the weekly rhythm of a home: the errands, the vendors, the upkeep. Estate management is that, plus the property itself: the grounds, the outbuildings, the systems, the seasons, the arrivals and departures. If your house has a dock, a guest house, or a snow plow contract, you are probably an estate whether or not you call it one.
Is this only for very large homes?
No. Our households range from a family in a busy four-bedroom to a lakefront property with acreage. The size of the house matters less than how much of it needs running and how little time the family has to run it.
Who is actually in our house?
A small, consistent group of people, vetted and known to us, most of whom have been with Finn & Lola for years. You will know their names. How we enter, secure and document a home is written down in Our Standards.
Do you work while we are away?
Yes. Many of our households spend part of the year elsewhere. We keep the house in order while they are gone and have it ready when they return. See Home Watch.
What does this cost?
It depends on the house and on how much of it you would like us to run, which is exactly what The Walk is for. Most households work with us on a monthly block of hours. After the walk you will have the plan and the number in writing, the same day, before anything begins.
Do you work with our other people?
Gladly. Your cleaner, your landscaper, your builder, your realtor. We coordinate with the people you already trust and fill the gaps around them. We are, at heart, the coordinators of everyone else.
